Toggle Switches

Wall switches turn lights, fans, and equipment on and off. Maintained, or latching, switches stay in the on or off position until they are changed. Momentary switches only stay in the on or off position while they are held. They return to the default position when they're let go. Locking switches prevent power from being turned on or off accidentally or by unauthorized personnel.
