Battery Acid

Battery acid is a sulfuric acid solution that serves as the chemical fuel to generate power in wet cell batteries. It must be added to new wet cell batteries prior to installation and is used to replenish acid in existing installations. The acid is a hazardous chemical, so it ships separately from a battery to reduce the risk of leaks.
