Vinyl (also called polyvinyl chloride or PVC) is a plastic that resists water absorption and withstands exposure to sunlight and ozone. It's often used for weather-stripping and sealing applications. Vinyl edge trim covers exposed edges of materials such as glass, metal, and wood to block out wind, water, and dust.
