Adhesives, Sealants and Tape

Adhesives, tapes, and sealants are used to bond, repair, and protect a wide range of materials. Duct and cloth tape are commonly used for sealing ducts, securing cable, and making repairs. Filament and strapping tape are reinforced with fibers that help prevent the tape from snapping when pulled tight. Film and masking tapes are often used to protect surfaces and splice paper. Foam tape provides an insulating barrier between surfaces that helps dampen vibration and noise. Industrial adhesives, epoxies, and glues can provide additional reinforcement for building materials such as subflooring. They can also be used to join materials in applications where fasteners cannot be used, such as wood joinery or weather stripping.
